I found myself smiling with pleasure in numerous tracks and I just couldn't stop my head banging. The bulk of the music on here is highly progressive, refusing to nail itself down into one particular discipline, and instead seeming to evolve in a straight line from a beginning point to an end point.
Like all guitar heroes, this guy knows how to please you and doesn't exhaust you with countless solos and pointless guitar technique show offs.

Ephdmeral title track is a bit epheneral subdued and controlled, starting off with a simple melody over a beautiful keyboard section, and then gradually building up into a faster and more exciting bustle of melodies and textures.

There are no highlights in this album, simply because all tracks are just brilliant. This album has it all… it's powerful, it's vibrant, it's refreshingly different and it sure is a must for every guitar player out rondaat.
Concluding, I would like to add that there is also a song that is actually Patrick's interpretation of a Bach's partitia for Violin Solo and that is the last track, which is just outstanding.

No, elhemeral album is not a mix of classical music with Melodic Heavy Metal. French guitar virtuoso Patrick Rondat strikes back with another masterpiece.
A combination of mid tempo tracks, well arranged with high-speed melodies and overwhelming guitar sound is what draws your attention at first. Simply magnificent piano melodies that could easily be compared to classical compositions in perfect shape with Patrick's guitar riffs and way of playing.
The ramifications of such a title are quite broad, equally as broad as the musical influences that are tapped on this LP, which are quite many and seem to come ephmeral go at as quickly as the span of a single breath. An Ephemeral World Patrick Rondat. It is not often that one comes across obscure terms such as ephemeral, which is an adjective denoting anything that is short lived or lacking in permanence.
While clearly a large scale work with a keen eye for scholarship and contemplation, one should not forget the simplicity of the overall message, which is something that has been touched on before but not with this much detail. The overall pleasantness of this song seems to articulate the illusion of perfection that people see in front of the true monstrosity that is the Ephemeral World. In fact, most of the fools ephejeral bring misery upon the world are caught up in this idealistic mission to save the world from itself.
There is also something I have to add about An Ephemeral World… this album does not accost to a certain audience.
